Below are resources and tools to help you with navigating class and coursework while in isolation to ensure your academic success is not affected during this period.
Most importantly, remain in contact with each of your instructors during this time to ensure you're able to receive course updates and content.
- Academic Support from your Advisor
Your academic advisor is still available to meet with you virtually, as needed, while you are in quarantine. Use TechConnect (www.tntech.edu/techconnect) to schedule or request a virtual meeting with your academic advisor.
- Tutoring Options and Assistance
The Tutoring Center does provide virtual tutoring options for courses, writing assistance, and study skills. To schedule or request virtual tutoring, login to TechConnect (www.tntech.edu/techconnect) or visit www.tntech.edu/tutoring for assistance.
- Volpe Library Online
The Volpe Library’s Eagle Search is virtually accessible to students on and off campus. Login to your TechExpress portal (https://express.tntech.edu) and click on the “Library” link from the compass navigation menu. You can also access other digital resources and services through the Library’s website – www.tntech.edu/library.
- Effective Presentations, Plagiarism, and Research Poster Design
The Volpe Library has a collection of virtual resources to assist students with:
- designing and executing Effective Presentations,
- Understanding Plagiarism and Copyright rules, and
- How to Design a Research Poster.

- Virtually Meet for Group Projects or with a Classmate
In the middle of a group project? Or, want to virtually meet with a classmate to get caught up on a lecture or course information? No worries, you have access to two virtual meeting tools to help you out. With your TechExpress portal (https://express.tntech.edu), you can access both Zoom and Microsoft Teams video conferencing platforms. - Information Technology Assistance & TechExpress
The IT Help Desk is available to assist you with any campus technology questions like setting up your email, logging into TechExpress, accessing student software, wifi, resetting your password, and more. There are self-help options available on their website https://services.tntech.edu.
