Inaugural AI Week Event
For the Week of April 7th, with the support of the AI-Corps scholars, the Engineering Joint Council, the Student Organization Life Opportunity, and the Provost's Office, the MInDS Center coordinated a variety of Artificial Intelligence activities all across campus. The week-long event included an AI Carnival that included AI-generated drinks, music, art, robots, and games; a Research/Project Poster day showing off student work in AI across 3 colleges; a big screen showing of the classic movie "War Games"; and guest speaker Dr. Wu from Vanderbilt giving a talk on AI and robots and medicine. An estimated total of over 200 students, faculty, and staff attended the various activities at this inaugural event, demonstrating what can be done with AI in all areas of life.
